The curtain takes center stage in the group exhibition Curtain Call. We know it from theater and cinema, where it marks the beginning and end of performances and screenings. In the exhibition, it becomes an object, a format, a medium, and a carrier material for artistic works. It is at once stage, theme, and protagonist.
As part of the Hochschultage, 27 students from various programs at the HFK present their artistic positions on the MS Dauerwelle. From sculpture and installation to performance and musical presentations, the curtain is staged in its various facets and different meanings.
This interdisciplinary exhibition format was initiated and supervised by Anne Fellner (Painting/Drawing), Prof. Dorothea Mink (Fashion Design, Experimental Design), James Richards (Film Spaces), Prof. Dr. Florian Edler (Music Theory), Prof. Ansgar Weigner (Scenic Design), and Christina Scheib, the curator of the Dauerwelle.
