The LAB TALKS lecture series places the workshop and studio at the center of the artist talk as a central place of artistic production and craftsmanship. In the series, invited artists talk about their know-how and working methods in relation to their concept and their work. LAB TALKS is a format of the Werkstatt für Fotografie (Anja Engelke & Wenzel Stählin) and Prof. Andrea Diefenbach.
Thomas Albdorf works with photography as a starting point to question and rethink the mechanisms of image production. In his conceptual works, he combines digital techniques, sculptural elements and classical photography to create multi-layered visual worlds. His works have been exhibited internationally and have received numerous awards.
