The University of the Arts Bremen participates in the scholarship programme “Deutschland-Stipendium”

Applications for scholarships are now open for the academic year 2024/25, all documents and the link to the online application can be found at the bottom of this page.

The scholarships (Deutschlandstipendien) will be granted because of a support programme by the German Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) and on the basis of the federal bill for the Scholarship Program of the Federal Government of Germany and the by-law of the University of the Arts Bremen “Satzung der Hochschule für Künste Bremen zur Regelung der Vergabe von Deutschlandstipendien“. Half of the scholarships are funded by federal funds and half by private donors.

Central criteria are achievement and talent of the applicants. Beside personal achievements and talent, academic background, social and family circumstances, social commitment and awards can be considered.

The scholarship will be 300 euro/month and will be granted as a non-repayable benefit on condition, that the applicant is enrolled at the University of the Arts Bremen. The benefit will be granted for one year. Scholarship holder may apply again till the end of the regular period of study. Personal income (as earnings or BAFöG) will not be credited against the scholarship. Students, who receive other scholarships, may not apply. Legal claims are excluded.

The University of the Arts Bremen would like to take this opportunity to thank the Karin und Uwe Hollweg-Stiftung, without whose commitment the Deutschlandstipendium at the HfK would not be possible.
