This year, Industrie Club Bremen awarded the “Future Workshop Industry 4.0” ideas prize for the first time and offered Bremen students the opportunity to present their innovative start-up ideas. After an initial selection phase, seven teams competed in five-minute pitches in front of a jury. The HfK Bremen was represented by Emma Brzezina and her product idea “FRED - cutlery for people with severe motor impairments in their hands”.
The cutlery was created as part of her bachelor's thesis in the field of integrated design in the summer semester of 2024. Emma Brzezina: “The cutlery is a solution that allows people to bring their food safely and autonomously to their mouths without having to sacrifice functionality or aesthetic design. It can be operated with just one hand, is ergonomically optimized and adapts to the individual needs of the user.” The jury presented the developer with a one-year membership of the Industry Club.
