The jury - consisting of Prof. Detlef Bratschke, Prof. Thomas Mohr, Prof. Martin Stadtfeld and Prof. Tanja Tetzlaff - has decided to award the following university prizes this year:

Francisco Henriques, baritone
Class Prof. Thomas Mohr, Prof. Krisztina Laki

Gretel Jazeron, piano
Class Martin von der Heydt

Jury statement:
“The charismatic duo of Francisco Henriques, baritone, and Gretel Jazeron, piano, captivated the audience with their emotional performances. Francisco's wonderful voice and expression thrilled us in both the French and German repertoire. Gretel was an equal partner to him.”

Elena Tsantidis, soprano
Class Prof. Benno Schachtner

Accompanied on the harpsichord by Mimoe Todo

Jury statement:

“Elena's beautiful voice has a bell-like high register, is expressive and touching. She shows great variability in her performance, which covered all epochs.”

Kun Tan, percussion
Class Prof. Olaf Tzschoppe

Jury statement:
“Kun is a pure bundle of energy and delivered a firework display of precision and musical interpretation of the works, being particularly convincing in Xenakis' hellishly heavy Rebonds.”

Congratulations to all the prizewinners!
