Hochschultage 2022 – Communication Competition
Your communication concept for Hochschultage 2022On Saturday, July 2, 2022, and Sunday, July 3, 2022, the next Hochschultage of the HfK Bremen will take place.
The Hochschultage-team is launching a communication competition with the aim of developing a concept for posters, trailers and other media for the Hochschultage.
Send us your portfolio by March 11, 2022, 3 p.m., to hochschultage@hfk-bremen.de (max. 10 pages / max. 20 MB).

Application procedure
Submission of the portfolio
Send your portfolio as a PDF by Friday, March 11, 2022, 3 p.m., to
hochschultage@hfk-bremen.de (max. 10 pages / max. 20 MB).
Pre-selection
On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, three finalists will be selected from all entries. They will each receive 200 euros for the further development of their concept.
Elaboration
Until Friday, March 26, 2022, the three finalists will further elaborate their concepts, which have to be submitted by 3 p.m. to hochschultage@hfk-bremen.de
Selection by jury and briefing
At the end of March 2022, a jury will select the final concept and brief the winners on the products to be delivered, deadlines and how to proceed.
The ranking is as follows:
1st place: 500 Euro prize money plus a student assistant contract (100 hours each) for the completion of all communication media.
2nd place: 300 Euro prize money.
3rd place: 200 euros prize money.
Completion and handover
On Friday, May 25, 2022, all print products have to be completed and the print data handed over to the Hochschultage-team. On Thursday, June 16, 2022, all other media will be handed over to the Hochschultage-team. The printing costs will be paid by the HfK.
Summary of deadlines
Mailing of portfolio: March 11, 2022, by 3 p.m.
Pre-selection jury: March 15, 2022
Elaboration of concepts: March 25, 2022, by 3 p.m.
Selection and briefing: March 24, 2022
Completion of print products: May 23, 2022
Completion and implementation of all other media: June 16, 2022
Further information on the procedure
What else do you need to know and what are the requirements for a successful application?
- Every student of the HfK Bremen can take part, individually or but also as a group (the prize money will be given out per concept, independent of the number of students in a group).
- The jury members consist of professors with expertise in the field and one representative each from the Freundeskreis der HfK, the AStA, Referat 1 (Press & Public), the Veranstaltungsmanagement Kunst und Design and the Rector.
- No third-party materials that infringe copyrights or intellectual property rights may be used for the development of the communication concept.
- The designs must comply with the corporate design of the HfK Bremen (use of the two-part HfK logo according to the manual. See: https://www.hfk-bremen.de/t/marketing-und-öffentlichkeitsarbeit/n/logo).
- The typeface (type and size) must be easily legible at a distance (large-format posters).
- The invitation to tender offers the greatest possible freedom in terms of design in the creation of the communication concept.
- There is no predefined motto for the communication concept. Everyone is free to to develop a motto.
- Important: During the entire creative process, you will be supported by the zentrales Veranstaltungsmanagement and the project manager of the Hochschultage 2022.
