On 15th and 16th February, the University of the Arts Bremen (HfK) once again opened its doors at Speicher XI and XI A.

The event attracted over 5,000 visitors eager to experience art, design, digital media, and music “made at HfK“.

Under the theme “Point of View”, students showcased their unique perspectives through exhibitions, performances, concerts, and interactive formats, sparking lively exchanges with attendees. The programme featured more than 150 projects, covering personal and professional themes as well as pressing social issues such as sustainability, migration, racism, and social justice. Musically, the spectrum ranged from early Baroque to original compositions.

One of the highlights? The Saturday evening fashion show. Against a backdrop of live music – spanning free jazz, techno, and minimal – students presented their latest creations. Another major draw was the interdisciplinary project "Curtain Call", hosted on the event ship MS Dauerwelle, which was part of the Hochschultage for the first time. Here, students and lecturers from different disciplines came together to showcase their work on water.

Beyond the artistic highlights, the event also provided a very good opportunity for prospective students to connect directly with current students and lecturers – whether to discuss degree programmes, the application process, or daily life at HfK. Open studios and workshops gave visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process.
