Art patron Uwe Hollweg has died

We are saddened and saddened by the death of our valued friend and supporter

*13.10.1937 †9.12.2024

Together with his wife, he opened up opportunities for many generations of students and teachers at Bremen University of the Arts to work creatively, experiment and develop through the Karin and Uwe Hollweg Foundation. He appreciated the honest exchange as well as the courage to be unconventional. We were deeply touched by his genuine interest and his willingness to support students on a large scale as well as in smaller projects.

As a true Bremen businessman, Uwe Hollweg was firmly rooted in the city's society with a strong sense of community. We are grateful for everything he made possible and will keep him in honorable memory. Our sympathy goes out to his family.
