„On Sports. No Sports.“

Available now: “Breathe Vol 6”

“The new issue of the fashion magazine book BREATHE shows fashion from the HfK Bremen, which repeatedly explores the possibilities and the future of fashion thematically. The 6th edition On Sports. No Sports. invites you to explore aesthetic and cultural values.

Thimo Schwenzfeier sums it up in his essay: “The students are the driving force, experimenting, questioning and driving the change towards more responsibility in the field of fashion design in order to go their own way in shaping fashion. On Sports. No Sports. is an expression of this new fashion without borders between functional sportswear, everyday and leisure fashion and an attitude that goes beyond the exterior.

The outfits in the collections, with which the students take a stand in various versions on the theme of On Sports. No Sports. are photographed by German fashion photographer and publisher Joachim Baldauf together with young HfK photographers in Speicher XI A, the place where everything comes together as a transformative event: collections, styling, shooting, stage, choreography, light, sound, performance, show.

An integral part of the staging and performance is the staging of space and light as a mouthpiece for the looks, which uniquely focus on performance, play and movement, material and togetherness, so that On Sports. No Sports. creates the stage for fashion to shape the future.

All positions will once again become an event in the sixth edition of BREATHE. Here, BREATHE reflects and expands the extraordinary atmosphere in the flow between tension and relaxation, which makes the creativity and conscious decisions of the young designers transparent for their versions of sport. Song lyrics and live drawings of fitness exercises illustrate the structuring leitmotifs of the fashion collections.

BREATHE Vol 6 is published by HfK professors Dorothea Mink, Andrea Rauschenbusch, Ursula Zillig and Joachim Baldauf with Printkultur. Concept and design: Andrea Rauschenbusch.” (Advertising text by the editors)
