Reenactments in Kunst, Gestaltung, Wissenschaft und Technologie Salon Digital Band / Vol. 1
Publikation – Juni 2020Re-enactment presents an opportunity to observe technologies and their contexts and theories in a new way, to immerse oneself in the conditions of their production through one´s own actions. In this respect, re-enactment should not necessarily be considered an attempt at a faithful “re-staging”, but an interpretation, which makes use of new means and takes place in an expanded or altered context. In this sense, re-enactment can also be a simulation. It is always a scenic experiment, a way of separating today from yesterday.
