Guitar training at the HfK Bremen offers students a deeply founded advancement of their skills and the acquisition of high artistic and pedagogical skills. The bachelor's and master's degree programmes cover the entire range of guitar literature, which also features in the concert exam. Stylistically and technically, a comprehensive repertoire is developed using the latest methodology and didactics and with an informed level of knowledge, with the intention of individually profiling each student. Regular concerts (podium guitar, studio concerts), accompanied by the annual “Bremen Guitar Art Festival”, solidify stage practice and performance experience. Numerous graduates of the HfK course with a major in guitar are successful in teaching, soloing and chamber music in various genres (classical, early and new music, popular music).
