Violin
The Violin Major at the HfK Bremen is taught and intensively supervised by committed lecturers who are established in international concert life. A special feature is the integration with the study programmes Early Music and New Music in the compulsory and elective areas of the course, which offers students opportunities for stylistic specialisation and the development of outstanding playing techniques. In this context, there is also the offer to temporarily share the main subject lessons and, as a supplement, to receive lessons in the majors Early Music or Jazz. In addition to the main subject lessons, an important content is orchestral and ensemble work in the HfK symphony orchestra, in the chamber orchestra or in chamber music ensembles. Master courses by internationally renowned lecturers round out the range of courses. A number of violins and bows, including replicas of Baroque and Classical bows, are available for students to borrow.
