Recorder (Early Music)
Recorder is a subject in the study programme KA/KPA Early Music at the HfK Bremen. The course imparts in-depth knowledge of all areas of playing technique, stylistics and interpretation, while skills in musical expression are deepened. There is extensive training in ensemble practice. Competencies in the current areas of teaching practice are further developed in the sense of a creative and flexible recorder pedagogy. Strategies for dealing with various work and practice methods as well as teaching materials are also taught. Projects in the joint recorder classes (AM and KPA) link organisational, logistical, artistic and pedagogical skills and place these in the context of music education. An example is the traditional “Bremen Recorder Day”, in which students curate and manage events for musical amateurs.
