Violoncello

Violoncello as a major prepares students in various courses for professional life. In addition to classical artistic training, the HfK Bremen offers aspiring violoncello teachers, school musicians and elementary music teachers training that can follow on from an artistic course or can be started as part of an initial course of study.

As a visually appealing style of playing is usually accompanied by good sound results, the lessons focus on a natural handling of the instrument. Working on both requires a self-critical attitude, and so instrumental training always includes pedagogical aspects.

Enjoyment of music, the search for improvements in craftsmanship, the fascination with producing precision, and last but not least the feeling of transcendence (on stage as well as in practice rooms) are components that make it more likely to find your own place in the world of professional musicians.
