The degree programme Bachelor in Composition is designed to foster the individual development of the creative personality and the ability to competently and independently shape one's own musical imagination with aesthetic and social responsibility.

The course centres teaching professional, contemporary and future-oriented composition methods as well as the development of the necessary technical skills. The basis for this is the analysis primarily of the music of the 20th and 21st centuries as well as a lively examination of the performance practice of contemporary music. This also includes working with the instrumental and vocal classes to perform your own compositions.

In addition, extensive knowledge of contemporary and historical composition and instrumentation techniques as well as the basics of electroacoustic composition are imparted.

The lecturers in the field of music are renowned musicians who perform in concert halls around the world. A close and co-operative exchange between students and teachers is of central importance in the field of music.
