Composition
The study programme composition is taught in individual lessons that are fundamentally based on the students' own work. Their different individual needs, desires and plans are specified, expanded and critically questioned in the actual compositional work, while the required craft skills, techniques and procedures are individually developed. This is supplemented in the analysis seminar by the study of musical material and the compositional handling of it, using works of a wide variety of technical and aesthetic orientations. An important part of the course is close collaboration with the instrumental and vocal classes. All composition students have the opportunity to work intensively with electroacoustic means and to use well-equipped studios. The events at the Atelier Neue Musik offer a forum for your own projects, but also a wide range of inspiration through guest concerts, workshops and excursions.
