Office for Artistic Operations Music

The Office for Artistic Operations Music is a service facility of the Music Faculty of the HfK Bremen. The employees schedule, design, coordinate and supervise artistic projects. Specifically, this means:

Organisation and planning of curricular events

… over the entire academic year for University ensembles or orchestras, opera projects, examination concerts, the HfK Jazz Club, master classes, various series from new music, early music and classical music, overarching projects such as court concerts, etc.

Distribution and conception of concerts

Close coordination with the dean's office and teachers, hiring of temporary staff, rehearsal scheduling and warm-up times, procurement of musical notes, project organisation, procurement and support of external service providers, management of evening events (orchestras), organisation of accommodation capacities, fee calculations, procurement of instruments, long-term and daily scheduling of events and exams, etc.

Budget planning and accounts

… from supervised events, advice on to project applications and project organisation.

Creating media

Creation and production of concert flyers/posters and programs, close consultation with Department 1 and/or external service providers – such as agencies.

Ticketing and marketing

Preparing public relations for events, competitions, master classes, media cooperations, marketing campaigns, setting up and monitoring ticketing (Nordwestticket), coordination of free tickets and HfK purchase tickets.

Additional tasks

Processing of GEMA information, organisation and supervision of competitions, instrument tuning and transport, event statistics, room coordination, (the only) advisory service for students and others in social security matters, labor law matters and tax matters, etc.
