Jahresausstellung – Annual Exhibition of Graduates of Digital Media and Integrated Design Graduates' Exhibition / 17.-22.11.2023 Graduations are transitional moments. For many students, this marks the end of the time to learn their tools of the trade and develop their own aesthetic means in well known spaces. Afterwards, the challenging time of asserting oneself with one's work in a commercially oriented professional life begins. For others, exams simply mean the step into the extension of studies at the same or another institution. But ultimately, graduation is an intermediate step in lifelong learning and growth, which this year's graduates of the Digital Media and Integrated Design programs at the Hochschule für Künste (HfK) Bremen want to celebrate with an exhibition. This time, Hall 1 of the new Speicher XI A, which was inaugurated this spring, was chosen as the venue. More than 30 graduates will occupy the exhibition space from November 17 to 22, 2023. The venue is subject to constant transformation and thus fits well with the moment of transition. On display will be digital works, installations, films, performances, photography, machines & devices, books, fashion designs, drawings and much more. Performances can also be experienced. The students' experimental and interdisciplinary search for individual forms of expression, innovative design approaches and creative solutions is shown here in the diversity typical of the HfK. The works shown deal with socially relevant issues such as the relationship between man, body and environment, unstable economic developments, dealing with mental health, food culture and memories, etc. in terms of content and design - sometimes offensively, sometimes profoundly, sometimes abstractly. A highlight of the exhibition opening on November 17, 2023, 6 p.m., will be the awarding of the Frese Design Prize, which is endowed with 10,000 euros. It has been awarded to young designers and creators from the HfK Bremen since 2014 and helps to make graduates from the Department of Art and Design visible nationally and internationally with their work, to promote their design commitment and to support their professional start. Opening:November 17, 2023, Admission: 5:30 p.m., Start: 6 p.m. onwards.Opening hours:Sat-Sun, Nov. 18-19, 12-7 p.m. / Mon-Thu, Nov. 20-22, 3-7 p.m.Speicher XI A, Cuxhavener Straße, corner to Eduard-Suling-Straße, 28217 Bremen, Germany Exhibitor: Lena Lotte Agger, Carla Anacker, Tobias Babl, Timon Bohn, Franziska Eggelmann, Farzad Golghasemi, Kira Häring, Julia Höft, Marie-Lulu Högemann, Jil Kempa, Awas Khalaf, Gamin Kim, Mirja Kuberka, Kaya Marie Kuszak, Hyunjin Lee, Alexander Lehmann, Lucy Liang, Hui Lin, Julia Meyer, Nelly Möller, Jonghong Park, (Kaja Poestges), Tim Redlich, Ana Rodriguez Heinlein, Liudmila Savelyeva, Rick Schlüßelburg, Mathilda Schmidt, Sebastian Schuster, Anja Segermann, Inna Sosnina, Emilia Sting, Katja Striedelmeyer, Pia Winter und Maximilian Wolfs --- Design concept and curation: Astrid Hesse and Ben JurcaOrganizational direction: Elizaveta Kovalenko --- Special thanks to:Petra and Dieter Frese FoundationFriends of the Bremen University of the Arts
