Complaints office in accordance with Section 13 of the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG)

The Rector is the complaints office of the University of the Arts Bremen in accordance with Section 13 of the General Equal Treatment Act. It is therefore responsible for university members of all status groups.

The General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) aims to prevent or eliminate discrimination on the grounds of race or ethnic origin, gender, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual identity (§ 1). This Act transposes European Community directives on protection against discrimination into national law.

According to § 13 of this law, you have the right to complain to the relevant university office if you feel that you have been discriminated against by the university, your superiors, other employees or third parties in connection with your employment on one of the above-mentioned grounds.
