Accordion

The accordion is a young instrument. The original literature for this instrument expanded during the second half of the 20th century. This repertoire, together with transcriptions from all eras of music history, forms the basis of the training here. Particular attention is paid to developing body-friendly playing techniques. In addition, mental resilience is acquired through regular concerts and performances. The development of the artistic personality takes a great variety of styles and personal interests into account. The training aims to prepare students as well as possible for the diverse requirements of professional practice – be it with an artistic or educational focus. Another important component is chamber music in various constellations. All courses offered at the HfK Bremen can be taken with accordion as the main subject.
