Early Music (B.M., KA)
In addition to studies in the artistic major, the programme focusses on the diverse work with the various ensembles in the Department of Early Music at the University of the Arts Bremen. In addition to student chamber music ensembles, these include the Baroque Orchestra with internationally renowned guest conductors, the vocal ensemble and the Bremer Baroque Consort ensemble, which regularly give concerts in and around Bremen in addition to their teaching practice. The transition from training to a freelance working life is particularly encouraged in this way. Specialised musicological and music theoretical seminars as well as regular thematic project weeks and excursions aim to promote informed and reflected artistic practices. A diverse elective area, which also includes interdisciplinary offerings from both faculties, complements the course.
