During the course of their studies, students acquire the instrumental, technical and musical skills that form the foundation for an independent artistic examination of professionally relevant playing styles. Basic improvisation techniques, teaching on theory and also the development and strengthening of instrumental technique during the course are the basic content of the lessons. In addition, the students learn accompanying techniques for combo and big band playing. Musical communication is trained and a band repertoire of various jazz styles is developed. The focus of the lessons is on developing your own sound aesthetics within jazz idioms and implementing them in a convincing musical performance in band interaction.
