Student Advisory Service

Department 1, Office for Students, is the central point of contact for all questions regarding admission, studies and examinations for all degree programmes offered at the HfK Bremen. From the organisation of studies, application and admission procedures, immatriculation and exmatriculation to questions about leave of absence from studies, information about study and examination regulations/registration, questions about BAföG as well as guest and adjunct studentships, they will try to help you in all these areas.

The responsibilities of the Dean of Studies include questions regarding studies and teaching. In accordance with the examination and study regulations, the Dean of Studies ensures an appropriate course of study for the individual degree programmes, decides on measures to ensure the required range of courses with adequate supervision and ensures that student interests are taken into account appropriately. The Dean of Studies supports you in the course of your studies and coordinates the subject-specific counselling of the lecturers. You can also contact the Dean of Studies for further counselling services and for personal concerns or difficulties.

The International Office supports students and lecturers in planning a stay abroad and offers advice and assistance for foreign students. Information is available on the EU funding programme LLP / Erasmus, on DAAD scholarship programmes as well as various country reports, information on foreign language training and on funding opportunities for students from abroad.
